2020 was weird. 2021, so far, has been weird. We are all tired of hearing it but it remains true. And everyone has had their own way of dealing with the lockdowns, the zoom calls and the isolation; mine was riding bikes.
In early 2019, I was looking to buy a new road bike. However, as I was on a tight budget, I took the plunge and bought a new frame to build up with parts myself. I made a bottom bracket press out of bolts and washers from the local hardware store and used tools that I had already acquired from tinkering with my bikes.
After a rainy postponement from Saturday to Sunday some Steezy members headed down to Gravesend for some wild Fixed racing. Kitty, Taylor, Harriet and Alice were on the starting roster and ready to take on a full day of racing. So what was in store for us?
