Steezy rider, Mona, plotted a route for the Collective to hunt down all 9 checkpoints from the Rapha London Checkpoint Challenge. The challenge was introduced as a celebration of Lunar New Year, with each checkpoint themed around tigers or a place of significance to the communities that celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Starting at Hermanos de Columbian Coffee on Columbia road we all met to grab a quick coffee and jump on the road. A whopping 16 riders came with such an array of bikes that we split into road bikes and non-road bikes (with the Brompton crew holding the fort on the non-road).
Checkpoint 6 was the historic house of Lau She, Chinese writer known for the play Teahouse.
Checkpoint 7 was the neon tiger in Heal’s and the penultimate checkpoint, Chinatown, brought us nicely to the finish at Rapha for our fortunes!
Thank you to Ruby for the cracking pictures and everyone who came on the adventure!
Exploring London by bike is almost certainly the best way to get around.
