Downs Overnighter

🚨 STEEZY WOMEN + NON-BINARY + TRANS BIKEPACKING TRIP ALERT 🚨

In preparation for all the exciting events this year we’re running a Bikepacking trip around the Downs! This route, created by the wonderful Jonathan Kambskarð-Bennett, is a great test for your kit and your legs if you’ve signed up for the Pennine Rally.

We’ll have some experienced riders along the way to help give tips on multiday trips or, if you’d rather, just some company for a trip along the Downs!

This trip is for all WOMEN/ all NB/ all TRANS riders.

📍 Guildford Station

⏰ 9:30 am 

🚂 There are plenty of trains arriving at Guildford prior to 9:30, arrive early at Waterloo to grab a bike space!

⛺ Please BRING £10 CASH for the campsite

🗺️ Day 1 – Guildford to Manor Farm Campsite near Cocking along the North Downs, Downs Link and South Downs – 106km with 1200m of elevation.

🗺️ Day 2 – Cocking to Guildford along the South Downs and Shipwright’s Way – 74km with 1100m of elevation.

This is an OFF-ROAD ride, a high volume gravel bike with some spinny gears is the best option. We would suggest bringing at the very least a sleeping bag, mat, shelter (tent or bivy bag), lots of water and food on top of your usual riding gear. If you have any questions about the best things to bring bikepacking please let us know!

There is a takeaway and pub in Cocking, but we would suggest a stove and some food for the full experience.
